Well as CONTINENTS it is AMERICA, as divisions is NORTH, CENTRAL and SOUTH in Brazil. But it is funny to see someone calling central america as part of north america =~] isn't it?

But I accept that even though I never see in any newspaper or book (even NPD considers North America just the 3 countries) some places may consider the division of 2 countries as the valid one.

You are probably in one of the few countries who divide the American continent into three pieces. The more common method is to view America as a double-continent, consisting of a northern and southern mass of land. So if you asked me who the funny guys are, it would be folks like you from Brazil.

Similarly, people from the UK have the habit to talk about the UK and Europe as separate entities, so they commonly write sentences like "Super Mario Odyssey launches in the UK and Europe on October 27th" in news articles.

We brazilian are funny guys

It seemed like you were.

Nope, he was acting like it was crazy to think Central America is part of North America, i was just pointing out that a quick google search will show that its most commonly considered part of NA.

Not common here and considering NPD doesn't consider and considering the american company I work and several latin american countries divide it as North and Latin America on cultural, but on geography I just remember N, C, S and all
