Wii beat most PlayStation consoles. It beat PS3, it tied with PS1 (which is basically a win,) and PS4 isn't even close to 101 million yet. |
So far it's true =]

Fair enough. PSP and GBA were close. GBA at 81.51 million (3 years before successor launched) and PSP at ~80 million (6 years before successor launched). Sony hasn't given a final official number that I know of. The Gameboy and DS were obviously higher and the 3DS is probably not going to sell the ~10 million needed to hit 80 million. I suspect 2-3 million short. |
And I put that just to counter the "moderate" success. If it sold so good compared to the big success of Nintendo, then the platform itself was sucessfull, but so far there is no question about Nintendo never really being challenged on their 1st position. But to deny Sony sucess on PSP isn't good as well.

Except no one said anything about non PSP success you're just in a defensive mind set so you think Sony is being attacked when truth is PSP's success wasn't anything of their own merit hence why the Vita crashed and burned. |
Yeah yeah sure, we can always find excuses to make the failures be the faulty of others and the merits our own and vice-versa.
