It's quite understandable why the won't fully support the Switch.
Their strategy is focused on mantaining their position of leadership in the market. And they're doing so partially through acquisition or buyout of emerging companies, but also by raising the barriers of entry for AAA development.
That's the reason why they've invested so much to develop the Frostbyte engine and they use it to promote their games rather than relying on widely used technologies such as UE4.
This strategy is less effective if a platform like the Switch becomes mainstream, so don't expect them to ever fully support it. On the contrary we'll likely see more focus for enanched Xbox One X ports.
