Ps4 pro could be considered a failure, depending on how you look at it.

everything could be considered a failure depending on how you look at it.

Call me crazy but I was expecting this nintendo number to be more. I pegged it to be selling at around 350k-400k/month since its launch in the US.

They couldn't sell 350-400k per month if they didn't had enuf stocks obviously.

To me 2 million for an entire continent sounds very little. All you hear is how Switch is a breaking success, and yet its sales is only 10% of PS4?

I've heard reports that Nintendo increased the production to 2 million units of Switch per month, so how come they sold so little?

EDIT: Sorry if this appears as some kind of trolling, but to me it just felt like this latest generation of consoles jumped to big sales numbers much faster than we saw in the past, especially with the PS4. But perhaps I'm just a little rusty and out of touch with how the market works for console launches.

PS4 after first 12 months on market sold 4.8m, Switch sold more than 2.8m for 8 month without holiday season, so Switch will most likely end up around 5m for first 12 months on market.

Daaaammmnn.

Where's Colin Moriarty now?

Hes right though......Switch has been out 7 months.......Xbox One sold 2.6 million in 6 months in the US, and PS4 sold 3.1 million in the US in its first 6 montbs.

He is obviously not right, Switch for those 7 months was heavily constrained and yet need to have holiday season.

Switch for 8 months sold more than 2.6m and yet needs to have first holiday season, so most likely Switch will end up first twelve months on market around 5m, for comparison, PS4 sold 4.8m for first 12 months on market.
