It's unlikely that Switch's normal baseline will be 127k. And even if it does better than PS4 in Japan in the long term, which is very likely, they don't neccesarily need to respond in any particular way as long as they are doing well by their standards. Especially in their situation where PS4 is doing great WW.
But assuming they want to do better in Japan, what do you suggest? A price cut?

Well, they've already started a big Monster Hunter World push. I think that's their best bet.
