Yep, I remember reading from Sony Defense Force.
It was pretty funny with how they'd exaggerate everything, though they disappeared almost exactly when PS3 started to gain a foothold worldwide. So the theory that they were MS fans masquerading as PS fanboys was not that far-fetched, but I guess we'll never know for sure.
It's a good thing you brought up SDF because Sony Defense Force was considered to be the laughing stock of the gaming community for twisting numbers (kind of like the OP*) to make Sony appear ahead of MS at a time that was simply not the case.
*Rol is twisting numbers here to push a specific narrative, and that's all I mean by what I have written in the bracket.

Here's the collected data: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=230847 The year you are refering to is FY3/2008 (covers April 2007 to March 2008) and Nintendo beat Sony by 14m units. The year before that, Nintendo beat Sony by 6.5m units. |
So you decided to completely ignore my point, cool.
Was fully aware that the Nintendo duo were breaking all sorts of records, I didn't need a reminder of that as I was not talking about that specific year in literal sense, but I appreciate your mental gymnastics abilities to bypass the clear and concise point I was making.
