If it's about Special Edition stuff, then you should DEFINITELY be considering GCU because Amazon does not give the 20% on "special edition" games - whereas, GCU does! Here's a list of recent purchases I made: CoD: WWIII - XBONE (Valor Edition) - Normally $159.99, GCU = $127.99 On these four orders alone, I saved $88!!!! That's almost THREE TIMES what I paid for GCU - and on top of that, I'll be getting "gift certificates" back from them to apply to future purchases... It's a ridiculously good deal! So - is having to pay up front worth the near hundred dollars I saved??? ABSOLUTELY!!! :) |
Amazon has been shifty on their special editions though. I saved on Fire Emblem Warriors because it's a "special edition" rather than a "collector's edition". It seems like they're only applying the savings for the smaller titles that aren't defined as "collector's". It's what a rep told me anyways. And I really only tend to buy Nintendo special editons and after Xenoblade, I don't see myself getting another one for awhile. At least not until Metroid Prime 4 or something, if they have one for that.
