Everything you say is true. Capcom definitely needs to discover new flows of cash, it seems. If I really wanted to give them a small benefit of the doubt I could say that it's uncertain when exactly Nintendo invited them in on the Switch's construction, so they may indeed not have had all that time in the world to make new games. And as you've said yourself: big games need time and resources, and I'm guessing they are already working on more big games for PS and Xbox, so their mapower is somewhere else. That's why they need that long to make a warmed-up Street Fighter, an upscaled MH and a collection consisting of two games. I really hope a Megaman game will come. A good one. I soooooo hope for that! Now this is really mindblowing why they don't make one when so many Switch games hit so hard on nostalgia these days! Capcom, wake up, ffs! After playing and enjoying Project X Zone 2 recently I got interested in Darkstalkers a lot, actually, since some characters appear there. I would probably buy a copy. I would also wish for a new Phoenix Wright game, but that's depended on the creator/writer (his name is Shu Takumi, I think). He needs to be in the mood to write a new one, otherwise it will be shoehorned. I also believe that a game like Dead Rising would work well on the Switch. |
They were in the very early stages of Switch development. From stories, it seems teh amount of Ram being what it is, is due to Capcom's incistence on it being more than it was.
