The only thing Wii has that contributes to next gen gaming is motion control. In every other way it is quite plain. If you look at some of the best games like Twilight Princess, it's easy to see how with a stronger CPU and better GPU the game could have been more complex, better graphically, and had much larger levels than it did.
3rd parties ARE supporting it, read the news articles. They started getting on the Wii train after launch though...so no, those games will NOT be coming out Q1/Q2. That doesn't mean there is not enough support though...games will start being announced, probably closer to E3, when developers have had enough time to get it together.
