Just secured by copy of Mario Odyssey, got it home, and played through the tutorial area. It plays like an absolute dream; the controls just feel so smooth and natural and perfect, it's almost like I'm playing telepathically rather than with my hands. And far out it feels so damn good to have ledge grabbing and triple jumping back!

It still blows my mind how night-and-day different Nintendo is now compared to 2011-2016. 5 years of getting almost everything wrong, now suddenly they're kicking goals left right and centre.

The last 7 months still feel like a dream.

They deserve the success they are having... Things still aren't perfect of course, but hopefully they continue to take the constructive criticism onboard.

Yeah, they're definitely showing a willingness to learn from their mistakes, instead of pridefully ignoring criticism like in the Wii U days. The Switch's first year almost feels like an apology for the Wii U, like they made a list of all the things people hated and corrected them; no game droughts, more ambitious games, no delays...
