You'd have to ask her yourself, or trucks, but i believe at the time access was extremely limited and they were only able to modify part of the code
On top of that, she has a full time job and a family too.
Rewriting an entire site's backend and front-end without taking it down for an excessive duration, for free, just isn't a feasible proposition.
