I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but Dragon Quest XI has sold over a million copies.

The 3DS is having a fine seventh year. First quarter year over year numbers show a 30% decline in software sales, but they also released ten fewer games in the first quarter this year vs. last year.

And it's not just about new releases. Pokemon Sun and Moon has sold over a million copies this fiscal year. Continued support of the 3DS is just as much about selling old games as it is selling new ones. They said as much themselves in the annual report presentation:

"With a multitude of titles already released, Nintendo 3DS has a large and fulfilling library. We believe that it is important that we channel these titles in our sales. Trends show that these evergreen titles continue to sell well in the long term, especially overseas. We want to encourage consumers who recently purchased hardware to purchase these evergreen titles."

I still think Switch owners could afford to chill out a bit on 3DS support though. Switch is already having the best launch year in at least a decade.
