Aaaand here is why it won't do well.

With the average consumer ignorant about the power difference, chances are they'll go for the Pro since it'll be 100+ cheaper

But I am more than the average consumer. I pay no attention to anything Sony or Microsoft related and I usually do not look for it. They do.

I Push Nintendo products and enjoy selling expensive PS4pros. Hopefully consumers are interested in learning more.

I'm not calling you dumb or anything. However, will the average consumer care about 'more power' if they have a cheaper option? You're the one working retail, so it's worth asking you what would sell in your area - the cheaper console, or the better one?

Yeah sure......... except Microsoft are actually marketing the X and making a big deal out of it, unlike Sony did with the pro (not that they needed to, but still). Some consumers are ignorant of the Pro even existing tbh.

Marketing makes a difference, but price tags do as well. Not sure if $499 will be an easy price to swallow

Nah the real problem the X faces is the S plays the same games at half the price. Sure you’re not getting the same resolution but most ppl don’t care about that this late into the gen.

I mean theres an xbox one S bundle with the MCC and halo 5 for only $279!.

It'll stay as a niche device I suppose. No more, no less
