The drops to the 20ies in FPS are a sign why this thing will fail imho. In all their hunt for glorious ‘true’ 4K Microsoft have forgotten to optimise the console’s CPU in order to handle all that data load that comes with high res 4K textures. It’s just not a balanced system. You’d need to be a hardcore Microsoft fan to buy this thing for 500 now, when a much more powerful and optimised PS5 is around the corner. They overshot imho. Curious how a 350 PS4 Pro is going to sell against a 500 X1X. I expect the X1X to drop to 399,- by end of next year, maybe even 349,-

I wish they would make a game that actually uses the power rather than just showboating old titles nobody cares about anymore, "hey everyone, it turns out having more ram allows you to use high resolution textures!!"

Has anyone bothered to give Microsoft a nudge and tell them that it wasn't, and never has been the lack of power thats been hurting their sales? and releasing such a hefty console so far into the gen is only going to hurt them in the future, PS5 drops and it's a significant improvement over PS4/Pro, the next xbox drops and it's only a minor improvement over the Xbox one X, who is going to get the sales?, that leaves Microsoft in the awkward position where they either go all out again for a bigger jump, then get stung on unit price, or grin and bear it and release something only moderately better, at which point people arent going to see the value in upgrading and instead get the PS5 or the older (and likely by that point, cheaper) Xbox One X.

Pretty much this. Sales haven’t been dropping because of the low power but because of the lack of support and first of all games. I mean..just look at the Switch!
