Resistance will easily hit 1,000,000 first week. Its the PS3's premier title this fall. It will be the biggest launch week this fall for the PS3. And it should be releasing on an install base of around 16 million or more, right?
I dont see how it will do under 1,000,000 since it WILL get good reviews and have the best graphics this generation for a shooter period. Also if things hold up as they are, it will be feeding off the Gears 2 hype as well.
