You know that the stereo types on either side of the argument which were being thrown about were just as bad as each other, neither side is as the opposition paints them to be.

That said... gamergate as a whole can be described as people getting value out of poor choices in degrees at college basically.

The issue with those Gamergates, were that they were acting as though they were fighting some unimaginably large crusade against some unimaginably gigantic and terrible demon army. They kept trying to derail threads about gaming, spamming up youtube comment sections with their bullshit of stuff that didn't exist. The one thing they proved is how idiotic and whiney the scum at the bottom of gamer culture could be.
