I'm rooting for home consoles as this is still the main place for hardcore gaming (together with PC gaming of course). But I have to be realistic, portable gaming is gaining, hybrids are threatening to conquer more ground and VR while not crushing it just yet seems to have an obvious huge potential.
And there is of course streaming that is coming up and may just take over, which is a concern because as the future of gaming it would mean we don't own our games anymore and combining games streaming with games as a service rather than a product (meaning more micro-transactions, Lootboxes etc) is like our worst possible nightmare.
