How many major exclusives does the Switch need to gain out each year to maintain popularity?

I think 2-3 major exclusives are enough. They are selling a little less than the PS4 with Splatoon 2, Mario and Zelda as major titles. Didn't they already announced a new Metroid and a major Pokemon game releasing in the near future ?
