This is quite the jump. You have zero idea who knew outside of the person who comitted the crime and the HR employee.

Maybe more knew, maybe none knew.

No wonder Sony wanted to silence him, this can't be very good PR for them. To be fair they were assholes in this situation, so they probably deserve any backlash they get from it.

Yup, the possibility of some ppl knowing = the entirety of Sony. well done. 

 

But they offered him a 20 thousand payout to keep his mouth shut. No way would that money would be given out without some sort of higher up at the Playstaion division knowing about it. I didn't mean literally the entirety of Sony and every person there, and this is something that could cause damage to the Sony the brand, which is why they wanted to pay so much so he wouldn't say anything. Whoever was involved took the wrong approach and him speaking out about it, is what they get for handling it this way.
