No problem
To be honest those standards aren't intuitive either so one can easily get them wrong.
For example 2K makes reference to the vertical lines on a screen. 1920 lines actually which is close to 2000, hence 2K
but when specifying the horizontal lines, one goes by the count and not a round up figure, in this case 1080 lines which is called 2K.
Progressive mode or p is now the standard way of displaying images, it means entire images are displayed one after the next as opposed to interlaced images or i. This older displaying standard meant that only half the image was displayed by interlacing each image with the next. This standard allowed for the saving of bandwidth whereas progressive costs full in tems of bandwidth but the quality is much better than interlaced displaying.
To be honest and since progressive is the "norm" (there goes that word again, LOL), I don't know why they bother specifying it each time they speak of the resolution of a screen. they will never go back to interlaced images so there should be no need to say 1080p cause there is no 1080i displaying anymore.
Well if anyone was curious on this issue, I hope this helped
