Perhaps they felt there was very little in the way of criticisms to be had in their mind? That is a thing you know, it does happen. Even Yahtzee, who makes a living being a cynical, overly critical prick had nothing negative to say about Portal. |
No game is without flaws, and even if they're not a big deal to you, they should still be mentioned not only to have a complete review, but also because those flaws might be a big deal to others. Xenoblade X is a perfect example, I had no idea about the tiny text, and that ruined the game for me. And to your next post, what the previous Mario games scored is irrelevant. I'm going based solely off the hype and what I'm hearing about Odyssey, which so far boils down to it's Mario but with bigger scope/budget. I just wanna know if there's more to the hype than that.

A wild idea- maybe just try the game when it comes out and see for yourself? You seem to be obssessed with doing research on the game and trying to add to your "educated opinion" that it already can't be a 10/10, but I think you seem to be forgetting that it's a video game(form of interactive media). If so many people are raving about it and you can't understand why, then the only way you'll get a true persepective is to actually play the game. All the reviews in the world won't be able to replicate the experience of actually playing the game. Even if the game isn't a 10/10 for you, I doubt it'll be so bad that you'll regret the purchase. |
Was it really necessary to quote all my post? Now make no mistake, I will be getting Odyssey day 1 and I know I will enjoy it. However there are many who also haven't played the game touting that it's a 10/10. I would like to know what they're seeing that I'm not, and was hoping reviews would make that something more clear. I don't need the experience of playing the game, I'll be getting that soon enough. I want to know what's so good about it that makes it a 10/10 a game. It doesn't require playing a game to understand what makes it good or not.
