Injustice 1 got 3.84 million (great numbers) with 190,000 sales on Wii U (also late release). Injustice 2 got 1.44 million (decent, but much worse). I wouldn't be surprised if that drop off was bad enough that they chose to let that series die. |

Injustice 2 sold 1.8 mil on ps4 and xbox 360 in it's first year ... and ... that was with a few extra months to before Injustice 2 launched .....
With PS4 it only sold 2.1 mil in it's first year
Injustice 2 being at 1.44 despite a later launch and being a specifically current gen title is not bad.
It will probably do 2 mil by the holidays
plus digital sales are higher for injustice 2 than 1
