You're talking as if we've all already had a chance to play and finish the game, but all we're looking at is one leaked review socre.

 

You must of missed the many trailers gameplay and impressions. There's plenty of info to form an educated opinion with now.

Uh no, not every game is a Mario game. If a non-Mario game gets a 10/10, it being a Mario game obviously can't be a reason for the score.

I think it is pretty readable.

That reads more like an overview than a review. They mostly just described the game, didn't really go in depth or analyze much. I don't know, guess I was expecting to learn something I didn't already know that would help me understand where people saying it's a 10/10 are coming from.

Well their way of doing reviews is not very informative. They didn't even mention any faults or negatives the game has. Doesn't bode well for their credibility in my book. I'll definitely be checking out other reviews though, do we know when the embargo lifts?

A wild idea- maybe just try the game when it comes out and see for yourself?

You seem to be obssessed with doing research on the game and trying to add to your "educated opinion" that it already can't be a 10/10, but I think you seem to be forgetting that it's a video game(form of interactive media).

If so many people are raving about it and you can't understand why, then the only way you'll get a true persepective is to actually play the game. All the reviews in the world won't be able to replicate the experience of actually playing the game.

Even if the game isn't a 10/10 for you, I doubt it'll be so bad that you'll regret the purchase.
