While he does have a good point he seems to like the victim role a bit too much. Review aggregators and box office are definitely terrible for the creative climate but it's absolutely fine for the public to critique a piece of art that is meant to appeal to the public.

You cannot both do art for art's sake and still be upset when someone doesn't like it. Art is a very much public medium and creators have to live with that fact. With public exposure comes critique.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
