Alright, i've put about 2.5 hours into Gran Turismo Sport and i thought it'd be nice to put my thoughts here.

I guess one thing to note before i begin is that my previous experiences with racing simulators have been quite negative. I think i bought one or two of them on the PS3 and really didn't enjoy either, and dropped them very quickly. This is also my first ever Gran Turismo. Because of that, i'd say i'm pretty much a novice, and of course i don't have any specialised controllers etc.

But yeah, despite what i just said, my overall experience is quite positive, which is something i'm really happy to say! I first stated off with the sort of tutorial 'missions', and then just regular races against AI. From these, i thought it was okay, the game i felt controlled really nicely, but these kinda small bite-sized races and tutorials weren't really too exciting to me. However, moving on to the 'Mission Challenges', I had a lot more fun overall. Having small and varied little challenges such as having to overtake a few cars through harsh corners, or knocking over enough cones, were actually a good amount of fun. Still, i was feeling that with these, i'm not sure if i was fully convinced.

Then i played another challenge that involved having to do a full race, with the pit stops and all, with quite challenging AI, and it's here that i felt the game really clicked with me. Having to really concentrate and experiment to see when it was best to brake, accelerate, and see what lines to take to overcome the difficult AI, was really a lot of fun. It took me the best part of 40 mins to just get the bronze medal, but it still felt very satisfying to just get that after having difficulties knowing how to really drive suitably on a race track.

I still haven't tried some other things, but as I said overall i'm pretty happy with my experience, and of course in the final game there will be a lot more of other things to do. In-terms of things like graphics and sound, the graphics are nice, though on my TV it's hard to judge since it's not great, and the soundtrack is fine, with the actual sound effects sounding on-point. I'll likely play some more, but right now I feel that i wouldn't buy it at full price, but i'll keep a very close eye on any deals. But who knows, maybe playing it some more will fully convince me!

Also, if you wanna give some simple beginner tricks that may allow me to enjoy it a lot more, feel free, it'd be very helpful since i'm a complete novice at the game!
