Actually no.  It only caters to people who like to play online and totally misses the people who want a nice and deep single player experience.  I am sure the lottery of getting the real FIA racing license is great but in the end, just like any Online focused game, it will be considered by its community as half a game.  There is nothing really wrong with this direrction but its not like its a full GT experience which a lot of fans will miss.
