Hey, at least we agree on something!

Like I said, names don't matter as much as the fundamental. As long as Rey is overpowered, she will remain boring. I hope they fix it in 8(but it doesn't look like it)!

I agree! Part of me actually thinks Disney might make both rey and kylo good together! I even thought Kylo might turn good in 8 ... but idk .. that seems too creative. They might go with the "Kylo goes good in the third" trope. What if Kylo is actually convincing Rey to join him for GOOD forces : 0 but yeah, not gonna happen.

I actually hope you're right! Rey being obi-wan's daughter, kylo turning good and rey bad ... all very interesting!

It's possible. I think what they'll end up doing is Snoke being too powerful, kills Luke, and then Rey and Kylo take him out... in 9. I feel like thats the direction theyre going. Also I think (SPOILERS) They killed Han in 7 (SPOILERS), will kill Leia in 8 (they have to), and in 9 I think theyll kill Luke off

I don't want to burst your bubble but Rey cannot be Obi-Wan's daughter. He could be his grand daughter though. She's born exactly 15 years after his death according to the official canon. It's possible that Obi-Wan had a daughter with Satine, but that would mean the Rey would have to have been his great granddaughter and there is no evidence that they had a child due to her position of Queen of Mandalor and Obi-Wan's commitment to the Jedi Order. Though they could be related through other means but don't hold your breath.

As for the double fall theory. There's some stuff that suggests it. At least Kylo Ren's redemption. The writer behind the novelization of TLJ stated that Ben Solo is essentially a "reverse Anakin". There's a lot of other evidence as well. This trailer had some interesting parallels with Anakin as well in terms of camera shots. Star Wars films have lots of rhythm and poetic themes between trilogies and it shows here again. I am feeling pretty confident that The Last Jedi will not feel like a remake of The Empire Strikes Back like how The Force Awakens felt like with A New Hope.
