If there was a universal way to help people with mental health that would bring mass shooting crimes way down. Most people with a mental illness are not harmful and many seem somewhat normal but there is that small few who are dangerous and the mental health care in this country is a joke. It would not stop these crimes but it would greatly reduce them. As much as I hate guns, getting rid of them isn't the issue. If I recall Canada gun ownership is equal to that of the US but have much lower gun crimes. Criminals will get guns legal or not if they want.
