None of the cited sources are official Nintendo ones, so this piece of news belongs in the category of speculation based on hearsay.

Nintendo's next earnings release is scheduled for October 30 and that's the place where they'll announce if and by how much they increase their shipments forecast for Switch this fiscal year. Most of Nintendo's quarterly results also feature a Q&A session with investors, so there's an opportunity for additional clarity regarding Switch production.

In that case I'll just wait until the 30th.
