| LudicrousSpeed said: When did GTS add a campaign mode? All I've heard is it has a collection of challenges and tests. What in past GT games was the requirement to get licenses, which you then took into the actual campaign mode to access higher tier races. I don't doubt GTS will look great in many areas, it's optimized for one platform and has been in development awhile. But I'll wait for a real comparison. As GAF said when dismissing this video, the time of day is different, and something is weird with this PC footage. It looks flatter than Forza 7 looks, and the frame rate is all over the place. |
What people seem to fail to understand is that GTS will have a campaign, just like earlier games....with the difference that this time it will be online! You play against others instead of boring and shitty A.I. and start with a small car, earn money and points and new cars and work your way up, just like in earlier games, only online. They implemented a very sophisticated matchmaking system compared toiRacing, which at least in theory should be able to put you in groups of people with similar driving skills and behaviour.
At the end of that career even lurks the possibility to become a real FIA licensed racing driver.
To me at least that sounds so much more exciting than the boring rubber band AI of earlier GT games.
Concerning the flat look...it looks as if there is a little bit of fog in the Forza footage, maybe that's the reason. That said I've watched a good chunk of Forza 7 footage and gameplay recently and it does look kinda unrealistic and flat. What I also noticed is all the older tracks look much less impressive than that new Dubai track they kept showing all the time. Same without rain compared to all those rainy races they showed to the public over and over.
