Nope believe me it will be at the earliest 2021,hopefully 2022, there are 3,4 main reasons wich are

1- The hardware needed for an impressive generation leap. if ps5 is just ps4 2.0 super 4k, most people wont buy it just look at ps4 pro. If it realeases in 2019 it will play the same games as ps4 but better. most people would just rather buy a ps4 wich it will possibly be at 149 on black friday. im talking about holiday 2019, early 2019 is 100% impossible.

2 The most important ps4 games are releasing between 2019 and 2021- FF7 Remake, kh3, The Last of Us 2, Borderlands 3, GTA VI, Elder scrolls VI, The other unannounced bethesda game, Cyberpunk 2077(Cdprojekt), Square Enic Partnership with Marvel wich will be at least 2 games (one from eidos, the other from the tomb raider guys), Sucker Punch New Game, The big ambitious Open World Action Adventure game by EA MOTIVE(was announced last year as a 2020 game, with delays is probably 2021), Open world Star Wars, From Software has 3 games in development, Plus the ones we dont know of

Games are taking way longer to make thats why generations have to be longer. And then after these games drop they have to start working on ps5 games

3- At the rate sony is selling ps4 they will be making a lot of money from 2019-2021 due to ps plus and the PSStore. by then there will probably be a lot of cheap games "old games" on the psn. If sony is able to push ps4 to 149, that thing will sell like hotcakes( i dont even want to talk if it gets to 99) sony would be stupid launching ps5 so soon.

Spot on, excellent read of the current nature of the industry.

The resons above are why I think PS4 Premium in 2019 is the best option, followed by PS5 in 2021 - 2022.

PS4 Line-up 2019 Should Be;

PS4 Super Slim - $199.99

PS4 Pro Slim - $299.99

PS4 Premium - $399.99

PS4 Premium, would be perfect at 10+ TFLOPS on 7nm, using some newer or more optimized tech like we have seen on the Pro and X. Bump the CPU to 3.0GHz and the RAM to 16GB. This would be the perfect system to play PS4 games in 4K and 60fps in when developed towards.

PS5 should be built on 3nm tech, using Zen 2 or newer CPU tech, and a GPU in the 20+ TFLOP territory. 128GB of RAM will keep it in line with the previous leaps in memory, and an SSD will allow load times to remain respectable. A 2021 or 2022 release should allow tech to reach these levels at the $399.99 - $499.99 price point, and offer a true generational leap. 4K/60fps will be the norm, with massive improvements to every aspect of graphics and AI.

So you think a 2019 PS4 Premium at $400 which offers little more than a framerate bump... and then 2 years later, a PS5 at $400 which blows it out of the water....

Anyone who buys a PS4 Premium would tell Sony to go shit in their hand if they announced a PS5 a year after launching the PS4 Premum.

Edit: Also from the post you replied to "just look at ps4 pro. If it realeases in 2019 it will play the same games as ps4 but better. most people would just rather buy a ps4"

The author you apparently agreed with also thinks your idea is terrible.
