Windows had tons of problem in its first couple decades.  But, it has been pretty solid for the last few versions.  I think most of the hate is just left over from the (in computer terms) the distant past.  

I will agree its not a perfect OS, however we must accept its a good OS with some amazing benefits. 

The hate wagon needs to accept that its a good OS and unless you like Apple, Windows is the place to be. I honestly never understood why people hate good products. 

They will regret the day Windows is no longer ravalent.
