I was so disappointed by Dragon's Dogma.  I couldn't be more adverse to this threads advertisement.  Watch a few parts of a Let's Play of Dragon's Dogma and see if it's for you first.  

I would say if you ever played Breath Of The Wild, Dark Souls or Skyrim and though "I wish I had three characters helping me with this game at all times" Then Dragons Dogma might be for you.
