I accidentally put on the joy con straps backwards one time. It was my fault for being such a dumb ass but it was still a pain in the ass to pull off. I also don't know how people are scratching their Switches. You would have to slam the console into the dock to cause it any damage because the plastic that is in front of it is pushed upwards.
