Both TNG and DS9 are old, Gene's Trek. Discovery is Jar Jar's Trek (though they somehow managed to make it even worse then that), pretending to be in prime timeline. And with bad actress playing unlikable character I don't see how it can get any better.
On the other hand, Orville, which is homage to old Trek, is actually getting better - if only the cast was better (I know it's Seth's show, but he really should've exluded himself from it...for starters).
