What did the PS1 sell in 3 months? Not trying to make a point, I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if it was lower due to the PS1 being a new company system. What about SNES though? That probably sold more in it's first 3 months.

Also 1.77 mil would be terrible by todays standards. Xbox One sold like 2.4 mil in two months

Edit : I was wrong. Xbox One actually sold 3 million by the end of 2013. So roughly half of Xbox One numbers ...

PS1 had a very slow start until the release of FF VII, so I'm pretty sure GC would be in front of it, too.

Wii is also low because it only released in North America on November 20, but only in early December in the rest of the world (Japan December 2nd, Europe December 8th), so it's a couple weeks short of the other consoles launching in the holiday season.

PS1 sold 514,015 in its first 4 months in the US. It launched on September 9th, 1995. It also sold just 2,044,047 during all of 1996, so it was almost beaten by N64's three months in that year.

SNES likely sold a little less than N64 did in its first three months, since it had slightly lower shipments to North America than N64 in its first fiscal year, and it launched during August, so December + the last week of November wouldn't be included in its first three months. Not that it matters, since N64 probably sold more in 1996 than SNES did in all of 1991 anyways.

Also, Xbox One sold 1,817,000 in its first two months in 2013, not 3 million.

To be fair, as I said I kind of expected that of the PS1. I was just genuinely curious, just asking a question.

So does that mean the 64 started out great but petered out?

Also no, it sold 3 mil https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-one-sold-3-million-units-in-2013-microsoft-says/1100-6416955/
