If Ultra Street Fighter II on Switch sold 8,000 units in its first week, no matter the circumstances, Capcom would probably not make another game for Switch again and people would accept that. That is not even considering sales expectations or install base of each platform. Nor it is taking into account that their two previous PS4 titles also failed to meet sales expectations...

I also believe Capcom is using the profits they make on their Switch efforts (minimum effort, max price, big profit margins) to fund PS4/XBOX One titles. Capcom needs to get it together today. They cannot afford to make any more mistakes. Monster Hunter World is what it is right now but going forward, I fully expect to see Switch titles left and right and PS4 support scaled back. I mean, if it were the other way around, people would expect the Switch support scaled (see: pulled entirely) back and PS4 support boosted.

Eh, offcourse that they wouldn't ignoring hole generation a platform that will be successful (espacily in Japan) just beacuse 1st game (that's actually port of very small and old game) bombed. They would later just tried with other games.

Capcom will easily make a tone of money with Switch in Japan, they know how much money they made with 3DS and they finally started realising that Switch is successor to 3DS also.

Problem with Switch is that after Wii U fail lots a 3rd parties did not have expectations and plans for Switch, so Switch success catch them unprepared and without plans for Switch expect 1-2 or two smaller projects, but now when obvious that Switch will be success and espacily huge in Japan, we getting more and more 3rd party announcements, and we will getting much more 3rd party announcements, that goes espacily for Capcom and SQ beacuse of Japan.

They are still around 42.000 yen from scalpers.

"Katzu also took a photo showing a reseller purchasing second hand Nintendo Switch units for 37,000 yen(USD330). A Nintendo Switch costs 32,378 yen (USD289) at retail, and the current resale price is 42,000 yen (USD375) on online auction sites such as Yahoo and Rakuten."

Yes, I know all this, but my point was that before the prices where even higher, indicating that it was even more difficult to get a console at that time. Before Splatoon they reached easily 50000 Yen or about 450$, since then the prices where steadily going down bit by bit

Well Nintendo now has more stable and higher weekly shipments, so different is not huge like 20.000 yen, but again different around 10.000 yen is still quite big compared to oficial price.
