Why do people keep saying "Monster Hunter 5"? World IS Monster Hunter 5. It's being made by the team that made 4, and they consider it a mainline entry. People need to get over that fact. It's either a Worlds port, or a continuation of the terribly lazy side series they've been doing for mobile for a few years. Considering how terrible Generations is, the best I could hope for is a Worlds port.

Why isn't it called 5 then? They say they don't want to intimidate newcomers with a numbered sequel, but that sure as hell didn't stop them from making "4" on the 3DS.

In fact, it would probably sell better if it were called 5...
