Turned out car damage isn't any fun online. A good penalty system works much better. Otherwise most people leave before the end of the race and you sit there waiting for the lobby to fill up again, to likely get rammed in the first corner anyway. It's much more satisfying to see the sob that tried to ram you helplessly ghost through your car into the grass.
