Gameplay elements are not protected by intellectual properties. If they were, "jumping" would have been pantented long ago.
As long as they don't use assets from PUBG, they are fine. It's just another developper that threw a decent game with not enough ressources and is now worried over the competition, when all they can do is improve their game and let the players choose.
