I don't have PUBG and I haven't tried Fortnite, but it feels like we've gone over this discussion too many times on this site. I remember leaning on the wrong side when the demo for Dante's Inferno was released. This is simply what happens when you make a successful game. Other devs use what they believe are you good ideas and try to make them their own.
If you really like PUBG then this either ends well for your or makes no difference. You get a new game to play If the Fortnite version is good for you, or you can ignore it if you don't like it. If you don't like PUBG then perhaps you'll like Fortnite instead. If neither appeals to you then this all means nothing for you. Toss in a new 3rd game and the same questions arise. This is just how genres work.
