Maybe it will be a hybrid engine, using the best tech from UE4 and Luminous Studio.

No.

The Switch has an even weaker CPU than the PS4, that means that the games would have to lose polygons and perhaps some graphical features.

No.

Final Fantasy being away from Nintendo consoles for 23 years is absurd. It's time for that to end regardless of what XV itself is.

Agreed.
I am yet to play Final Fantasy XV myself, thought I would wait for it to be a fraction of the price considering I never did complete XIII.

I don't know what kind of voodoo magic you think is in Final Fantasy 15 that would make it not runnable on a switch when the last system contained XCX.

There are very few games released this generation that need PS4 power to exist. You're just prettier last GEN games.

Not to mention that the Switch isn't driving a high resolution display anyway, so it can get away with having weaker hardware to push games.
And I honestly think Nintendo gamers don't care about a graphically compromised experience anyway, otherwise they would have bought a PC.

With that... This generation of games is heavy on the dynamic effects, last generation relied on a ton of baked details to look semi-decent, that does cost.
But the other advantage is that... Allot of the effects can be turned off or downscaled in some way to scale between more extreme levels of hardware.

We are seeing that with the Doom release on Switch.

Problem with FFXV is very demanding Luminous engine, so game doesnt run good even on PS4 Pro, so porting game in UE4 engine for Switch would work because UE4 engine works great on Switch.

That's provided that approach can be done. Not all engines allow for an easy copy-paste job into another completely different game engine... Sometimes it is just better to do some big rewrites of the current engine to scale it downwards.

For instance... Fable Anniversary was ported from it's game engine into Unreal Engine 3... But that was a full 15 month development to pull off.
And Fable 1 is a much smaller scale game with allot less assets than say... Final Fantasy XV.
