It really is! Sadly I lost my original one when I lend it to a friend who 'lost track of it' and gave me a pink one along with an italian copy of pokemon blue and a spanish copy of pokemon silver in return. Safe to say I very wasn't happy with that. Especially since the original was a gift from my dad.

I got an atomic purple one in really good condition off ebay last year though and I'm very happy with it. Plus Pokemon silver is a good aid in practicing spanish! :P
