My point is with the Switch is that you can't keep expecting the same content when devs are downporting from home consoles and that's especially true when it comes to AAA 30FPS games ... Despite both Doom and FIFA 18 running 1080p/60fps on PS4, the Switch version still had cuts in content ... (Maybe Switch could've handled full FIFA 18 on Frostbite 3 at the cost of 30FPS but we'll never know.) At that point Switch having 'full' AAA 30FPS home consoles games on the go comes into even more questioning ... (At what point does the port stop becoming the 'full' AAA game on the Switch with changes to content, level design or even potentially the gameplay itself ?) |
But you will get almost all content on Switch, again Doom lever editor is not important or any deal breaker, NBA 2K has same content like PS4/XB1 version (FPS is not content), Skyrim seem also same like PS4/XB1 but it will not get mods support at launch (but even PS4 version didnt had mods), and actualy only Fifa dont have Jorney Mode and thats beacuse difrent engine "that will be more subtible for Switch" (hardly Fifa could run at 1080p/60FPS-720p/60FPS on Switch with Frostbyte 4 engine).
We still dont know at what FPS Doom will work on Switch, Fifa is 60 fps, and NBA 2K is 30 fps, Skyrim is 30 FPS same like PS4/XB1 versions, but you sound like evre 3rd party game on Switch is 30 fps compared to 60 fps on PS4/XB1, and thats not true offcourse. NBA 2K could run at 60 fps with bigger graphic downgrades, but devs wanted better visuals instead of 60 fps, and graphically NBA 2K on Switch is holding quite well compared to PS4/XB1 versions of game. You don't have any changes in level design, only difference is power, and of course that power will effect on things like graphics or frame rate (or in case of Fifa Journey Mode beacuse of difrent engine), offcourse that ports from PS4/XB1 to Switch will not be 1:1, its expected they will be downgraded in some degree.
