It should pass it in CYQ4 even if 3ds overperfoms ( i think it will but not as much as needed ) on holidays like last year.

The newly N2DSXL is essentially a significantly cheaper New 3ds xl, 3ds having a big Pokemon game release in November, Nintendo release of several coveted New 3ds xl/2ds xl themed versions, like snes and samus New 3ds xl or pokeball and Pikachu editions of New 2ds xl, plus the existence of the super cheap 2ds with Mario kart 7 or New super Mario bros 2 are enough for 3ds to considerably exceed Nintendo expectations once again but not enough to prevent ps4 surpassing it in the end of 2017 and I would be shocked if that doesn't happen.
