If you accidentally stumble upon them, or rub something that you shouldn't be rubbing just yet... then sure an overpower boss is a pretty cool secret. But having them just roaming round in areas they shouldn't be (or worse actively following you as you said in the OP), is just an incredibly frustrating thing. And FYI I think those kind of bosses are shit in survival horror games too. I like strong enemies, but it should be within your means to overcome them, it shouldn't be impossible until a certain point much much further in the game.

I think Dying Light is a good example here. The night zombies in that (can't remember their name) were very tough enemies and encouraged you to run, but if you did stand and fight you did have a chance (even at low levels) providing you didn't take on too many at once and you were careful.

i just ran from those things or used night vision to avoid them. ugh.. Those things sucked but were alot of fun. It made moving around at night a real challenge. What did you think of The Witcher 3 in terms of this thread? You could easily get into fights with things that were a lot stronger than ya.
