| Shiken said: What I find funny is that people are still trying to downplay this. I mean DOOM is only a year old and is a AAA current gen game. Wolfenstein is not even released yet, and the Switch can handle it. This pretty much proves that the Switch can run current gen games with a few minor hits to visuals that you likely will not notice while playing unless you are compare them side by side. The PS4 and X1 version will always look better, but Switch can be played on the go or on the TV. It is a fair trade off. People are so bent on trying to downplay anything Nintendo though that they fail to see the main point at hand...THAT THE SWITCH CAN RUN THESE GAMES IN THE FIRST PLACE. Oh well, haters gonna hate. I skipped DOOM for PS4, so I will be getting both on Switch. Portability is more important to me. |
It only proves that Switch can handle 60FPS AAA games from the HD twins so far ... (Not only do the PS4/X1 versions look better but they run at a higher framerate. 30FPS vs 60FPS)
Not to say Switch can't handle 30FPS AAA games from home consoles either since devs could just cut some game logic but at that point can you really say that you are getting the same game when content, level design and the mechanics are different ? (FIFA 18 on Switch vs PS4/X1 ?)
