I actually thought W2 had already come out.
Still, the game is coming next month and the Switch version, sometime next year. Does it really change the big picture? Not really.
By the time it comes out, most of it's sales have already been made.

Even if they had a ton of ports, they had ALL the support from 3rd parties.
If that was the case with Switch, then, ok. But it's not. Unfortunately, it's not.

Spring does start in the first quarter, just at the end of said quarter.
If they have more Q1 games, why not show some instead of showing only Kirby and Yoshi?
Not saying they haven't got them, but it is in fact strange how they first show a Spring game and then a Winter game (or games)?

Actually it change hole picture, because its announcement of new game, not announcement of port or remaster of some old game like you wrote.

Well Nintendo never had strong 3rd support from SNES, and Switch situation is very OK despite all those ports and remasters, it also has some new games, and together they making killier 1st year for Switch.

And that basicly means Spring is also in first quarter. We already go through all that, they don't show everything they have 6 months in front. We already saw how Nintendo is operating recently and espacily with Switch where in most cases they focusing on games that will be released in next few months, so nothing isn't strange relly, for instance Doom is announced in middle of September like Holiday game. Again you are only person who find all that strange or worrying.

Just because the game hasn't been released doesn't mean it changes the big picture.
The game will still come out after it's released and seeing as we got no footage, that might be a sign that the game probably didn't start with Switch in mind and was recently added to the Switch library (hence having a 2018 release date, unlike Doom).

What matters is not how you start (remember how people said that the first to reach 5m consoles would be the winner of the generation?). What matters is what they can do to keep the coming years as good as the 1st year (for example: next year you surely won't get a breathtaking new Zelda, a great MK and a amazing Mario 3D game or even the next Splatoon).
We did get a good 1st party year (probably like the Wii) and great sales but it remains to be seen if, for 3rd parties, Switch will be more than a (multi) port town. And honestly, it worries me that it may not get in 2018 the games that the mass market loves.

You could say Spring is in the Q1, even if by a single day! ;)
I don't think you understood what i wrote: why show stuff (again) that is coming in Spring and not reveal first or aswell, what's coming in Winter (January, February and most of March). That's it.
