Has there ever been a time where you lost interest in video games?

I think that happens to everyone. It certainly has, and continues to happen to me.

I played extensively from the time I was about 2 or 3, until I was about 13 (1993). Then I only played occasionally, no following of gaming news or anything, until I was about 25 (2005). From maybe 2005 to 2014 I played probably an average of maybe 5 hours per week, but I paid a fair amount of attention to the goings on in the industry. Since 2014, I think my average playtime is around 15-20 hours per week, and I spend several hours per week on sites like this one, discussing, reading, or otherwise thinking about gaming.

There are still weeks and months here and there where I don't play much. It really is all about the games. If there is something that pulls me in, I play. If not, I don't.
