Full price for a years-old game is a ripoff, whether some consumers are willing to be ripped off doesn't change that.

But if a majority of consumers are willing to pay that price, it's that they're ok with it and agree that the product is worth the price. There's no point in cutting a price if consumers are still willing to pay for it.
